CD3 was a brand name used to promote CD singles released on 80mm ("three-inch") discs rather than the usual 120mm ("five-inch") discs.

The term is also used generically to refer to any CD of that size.

Three-inch CDs were developed in a collaborative effort by Sony and Philips. The first commercial titles were released in 1987.
