Boris Blank - biography
Boris Blank, born Hans-Rudolf Strickler, is the genius behind
Yello in almost every respect. He has also written
advertising jingles for such companies as Orangina, Mars,
Kronenbourg beer, Lee Cooper, Colgate, and Jakobs coffee.
Boris Blank's talents at creating new sounds have been used by
other artists including Ofra Haza, Carmel, and Pink Floyd.
A Canadian press release for FLAG claimed that Blank has recorded
14 solo LP's, all unreleased.

Dieter Meier - biography
Dieter Meier is responsible for most of Yello's lyrics, vocals,
videos, and press relations (i.e. giving interviews). He directed
the videos for Trio's "Da Da Da" and Alphaville's "Big In Japan".
Meier produced at least one 12" single for Hubertos Von
Hohenloe, the co-producer of the vocals to "The Rhythm Divine".
He is also a filmmaker. His movie "Jetzt und Alles" ("Now and
Everything") was shown at the Manila International Film Festival,
and at the 28th Taormin International Film Festival in Italy. He
is currently finishing work on a movie titled "Snowball", which
will feature new Yello music. British actor Paul McGann is
said to have the lead role.
Meier had an acting role in the movie "Leo Sonnyboy", in which
he plays a pimp. The movie is currently playing in Switzerland
and features lots of (previously-released) Yello music.
Before joining Yello, he was in a band called "Fresh Color".
Later he went solo, producing two singles.

Carlos Peron - biography
Carlos Peron was responsible for tapework and engineering on Yello's
albums through YOU GOTTA SAY YES TO ANOTHER EXCESS. In 1984, he left
Yello to open his own studio, where he produces various bands from
Zurich. Since the late 1980s he has been associated with the German
fetish scene, for whom he has created a number of video soundtracks
and other fetish-themed releases.
Carlos Peron's given name is Martin Mueller.

Billy Mackenzie - biography
Billy Mackenzie, whose vocals have appeared on Yello tracks
such as "Moon On Ice", "Capri Calling", and a version of "The
Rhythm Divine", has released several albums -- both on his
own and with Alan Rankine as The Associates. There has been
extensive Yello/Mackenzie crosspollentation.

In 1982, Yello provided the music for a fashion show for the
design house of Thierry Mugler, Paris. Attendees were given
the single "She's Got A Gun" (Celluloid / Ralph CEL 6223).
In an interview (International Musician and Recording World,
Oct. 1986) Boris Blank was quoted as saying "We're going to
sell a CD of just sounds [samples], but make it really
expensive... People can have our sounds if they want them,
but they'll have to pay for them!" Apparently this was never
made.
