You can't say much about the Duke City, 'cause this drive-in is gone, as in wiped off the face of the earth. To be fair to the Wal-Mart Corporation, however, the Duke City was gone long before Sam's troops erected that ugly-ass discount center over its gravesite.

On the bright side, the lot directly to the north of the Duke City's former home contains a few interesting remnants of the Duke City's former next-door neighbor, the historically-significant (but financially ill-advised) Circle Autoscope Drive-In.

(For what it's worth, my earliest drive-in memory is me wearing blue-striped sailboat jammies and watching a Tom & Jerry cartoon from the back seat of my dad's Plymouth Barracuda at the Duke City Drive-In. This would have been, oh, way back in nineteen-ought-six, I think.)
